Preflop chart.

Texas Hold'em · 6-max starting hand ranges by position. Pick a seat, study the matrix, and drill the spots until raise / call / fold is automatic. Most leaks at low stakes start before the flop — fix that here, free.

How to memorize

Drill one position per session. Cover the chart, deal yourself hands, and call the action out loud before peeking. Repeat until UTG, MP, CO and BTN feel like muscle memory.

Why position matters

The same hand is a fold under the gun and a raise on the button. Position dictates how often you see free cards, control pot size, and bluff successfully — open ranges have to widen as you move closer to the button.

Use it as a baseline

These are solid GTO approximations for unopened pots at 100bb. Versus weaker tables you can open wider; against 3-betting maniacs, tighten up. Learn the chart first, then deviate with intent.
